Nyagatare District
Nyagatare District, the largest District in Rwanda, is located in the Eastern Province near the borders with Uganda and Tanzania. It is a key area in Rwanda’s Liberation history, as it was among the first entry points for the RPA forces in 1990. Today, Nyagatare is known for livestock, crop farming, and growing trade. The District Office promotes agribusiness, infrastructure, and tourism linked to its liberation heritage and natural attractions.
